What is the future of the book

How long is the book in its physical form going to be around? Probably for a very long time but is it destined to become the less preferred format over digital versions. We are experiencing something similar with CD's more and more music is being sold online, will the same thing happen to books. I don't doubt that, like music, some people will still want to buy their books as a physical thing, it is, in my opinion, better to actually own an object instead of a digital representation of an object but imagine if buying a book was as easy as buying music from ITunes...

The end of a Beautiful Relationship

After countless years of good times and sleepless nights I drank my last coffee yesterday. Sure I have quit coffee before on several occasions, but I usually give in after a couple of months and go back to my wicked ways. This time is different though I give up coffee the day after new years day and fell off the wagon yesterday. I bought what I knew would be a good coffee a large latte from a stall I love, I found though that I didn't enjoy it very much and I couldn't handle the caffeine high after, I think I can happily live without it, my body and teeth will thank me too.

paper update

Excitement of paper delivery has gone today, this isn't your average a4 paper it's like 1.5 meters square, storing such a thing causes major problems it is currently lying on my bed but when I want to go to sleep I need to man handle it and stack it against the wall, and risk bending it, I'm thinking that I'm going to need to cut it down a bit, but i really don't want to.

Excited by a delivery of paper, is my life that boring?

The paper I ordered yesterday form GF SMITH came first thing this morning, I could hardly contain my excitement (to be honest I didn't contain it at all). I was less enthusiastic though while I was carrying it home and it started to rain. luckily it was well packed and got home without getting soggy.

my packaging

Today I have been working on some packaging. I cannot believe how much of my time has already passed but I have done quite a lot, I have decided on what I am doing for the project and what logo's etc to use.

An example of my concept for a live YCN brief. I need to make some changes between now and March to get it to a really good standard, fingers crossed, there is five of these.
