Family Tree Project update

A rare thing happened today although ideas were not short in coming I could not seem to be able to put any of them on paper. I sort of want to do something really out there and unusual, that does sound fun, on the other hand I want the family tree to function as it should. As always the way forward will be a compromise, probably an actual physical family tree alongside more interesting stuff like stories, pictures and records.

My Family tree, needs a complete reordering but the basic stuff is there. This will form part of a much bigger project.

Apple Mouse

I managed to fix the scroll wheel problem in my mouse by stripping it down and cleaning it, it was messy in there! unfortunately the bottom bit of the mouse wont go back together, so until I go out and buy some supper glue it is crudely stuck together with masking tape. It might not be ideal but I aint paying apple £57 for a new one.

Simple Tom Is Back

As I like a bit of order I decided after missing the first three days of last week, I would write the week off blog wise, I doesn't mean I haven't been busy though. I am now working on producing a cookbook for students, could be quite a challenge but I think I can rise to it.

Blog Hiatus

The computer parents house wouldn't let me blog on it, I had to home to get a filling which although unpleasant wasn't as painful as actually booking the appointment. 

Receipt

Nothing to fancy, this is an action aid receipt, my idea is to make 20-25 year old's realize that a fiver a month isn't much money, I want this project finished nice and quick and moved onto another.

A weight lifted

I handed in my dissertation this morning, what a big weight has been lifted, I actually quite enjoyed writing it It taught me a lot about book covers and advertising. I does mean though that I can now devote much more time to doing my design work which I love doing.

Bollocks To Poverty

With packaging almost complete I have moved onto a new project to keep me stimulated, I have started to come up with some ideas I think are strong, my plan is to have it complete by Monday so that I can move onto another.

Design Heros

This image is not from a recent project but from one I did a couple of years ago. Those were simpler times. I designed this in response to a design heroes brief, when I randomly choose the name Wim Crouwel from a hat and honestly had never heard of him, he was a really interesting man to find out about and has become one of my favorite designers, he is my design hero.

Some Of Todays Work

I have been working on a packaging brief the last couple of weeks, really starting to get into it, just a few adjustments to make before the hand in. This particular box would have seeds in it to nibble at while eating your on the go lunch.

Boxes

Bit work to do yet but this is the lunch box that you would buy my on the go packaging in, The box would be bought and then filled wiht a choice of lunch items.

I visited Australia this summer, what a truly awesome country.

Dictionary

I am not the best speller, and I have always dreamed of owning a massive Oxford dictionary. I have had to compromise for now though, my parents bought me a very nice dictionary/ thesaurus, I am sure they will give me many hours of writing pleasure. I WILL own a big one one day.
