I managed to fix the scroll wheel problem in my mouse by stripping it down and cleaning it, it was messy in there! unfortunately the bottom bit of the mouse wont go back together, so until I go out and buy some supper glue it is crudely stuck together with masking tape. It might not be ideal but I aint paying apple £57 for a new one.
